1. How does STAR Sportsmanship measure results?
STAR Sportsmanship has pre- and post-tests for Elementary, Middle
School, Junior High, and High School. The difference in percentage of correct answers on
the pre- and post-tests is an indicator of what students learned from the program. Our
Success Stories are also tell-tale indicators of the effectiveness of STAR.

2. What kind of reports are there for STAR Sportsmanship?
STAR has high-level reporting capabilities. The
program tracks who has logged on and used the program, who has fully completed
the program, answers to the pre- and post-tests, etc.
3. Can the program be used with special education students or those with reading difficulties?
Yes, the program is often used with special education
students, and because of the audio, students with reading difficulties have an
easy time with the program.
4. How much time is required for students to complete the STAR Sportsmanship program?
Each student version is made up of 60-65 minutes of online
instructional minutes divided into chapters and activities. We recommend that
teachers and coaches use the program over a two-week or month-long timeframe.

5. How long does it take to teach the Elementary program?
Elementary STAR Sportsmanship is made up of 65 online
instructional minutes that are broken up into 5 lessons and 8 activities.
6. How long does it take to teach the Middle School program?
The Middle School program is a total of 63 minutes of
online instruction that are broken up into 4 chapters and 4 activities.

7. How long does it take to teach the Junior High School program?
Junior High STAR Sportsmanship is a total of 60 minutes of
online instruction broken up into 4 chapters and 6 activities.
8. How long does it take to teach the High School program?
High School STAR Sportsmanship is a total of 60+ minutes of online
instruction broken up into 4 lessons and 6 activities.

9. How long is the Coaches program?
The STAR Coaches program is 30 minutes of online activities
(3 sections of 10 minutes each) with offline materials that can be printed to use
in meetings with players and parents.
10. Is there anything for parents?
The STAR Parents program is 12 minutes in length and can be accessed from home Internet.

11. Are there other programs like STAR Sportsmanship?
No other company in the country has a web-based sportsmanship education program.
12. Where in the school day do you fit STAR Sportsmanship?
STAR is taught by coaches and classroom teachers in computer
labs, classrooms, during athletic periods or P.E., in after-school programs, or
since it's web-based, students can also access STAR from home.

13. Where in the country is STAR Sportsmanship being used?
Schools around the country are using STAR, including
Kane County School District in Illinois and schools in Florida. The largest
installation includes a K-12 statewide initiative in Alabama. This was the result
of a fourth-grade pilot study that showed STAR Sportsmanship had a significant
impact on student attitudes and behaviors.

Resources allocated for Character Education, Safe & Drug Free Schools, 21st
Century Learning grants, etc. are often used to purchase STAR Sportsmanship programs.
